Near the village of Moara Domnească there are the green historians of our land, secular oaks, which are more than 200-250 years old, some of them reaching 30-35 m in height and 2 m in diameter. 

The Royal Pond is a beautiful place for rest and recreation. The river "Căldărușa" flows into it. In the past, the Pond was the largest in Moldova, with a surface of 400 ha. The villagers say that in 1852 the pond, which then had 300 ha, burst its banks, flooding a large part of the village's houses

The Monument to the Romanian Heroes fallen in the First World War was erected in the interwar period and for the first time installed in the Balatina Public Garden. This monument was erected at the initiative of Nicolae Balcescu, Head of the Cultural Centre in 1937, "in memory of the Heroes who sacrificed themselves for Country, Nation, Throne and Faith". The Church of the Assumption was built in 1842 and lasted 12 years, until 1854. It was built of stone in the shape of a ship. In 1957 it was restored by craftsmen from Chernivtsi. After 1972, during the persecution, it was closed by the communist regime, which was in power. In 1988, when the Holy Places were opened, the doors of the church in the village of Butești were reopened.

We, the Cobanians had the honor 421 years ago, to have Michael the Brave with his soldiers in Cobani, who made a stop in the village. This fact led the authorities to honour the great prince and the founder of the unification of the principalities in 1601 with his bronze bust, placed in the park in front of the town hall.

The Church of the Mother of God was designed in 1876 by Deputy Governor Piche and architect R. Savitchi. The church is built in the shape of a cross: length - 29 meters; height - 22 meters, with tin roof, two metal crosses.

Eugen Coșeriu (or Eugenio Coseriu, born in 27 July 1921 , commune Mihăileni , county of Balti , - deceased 7 September 2002 , Tübingen , Germany). Romanian linguist in exile honorary member of the Romanian Academy (from 1991 ).

Trinca Church is located on the territory of the village, on the road leading to the village of Constantinovca. It is an old, historical building, built in 1902 by Vasile Stroescu, blessed by Tsar Nicolai I and consecrated by the Bishop of Hotin in 1904. 

At  Druta is an old church dating from the 19th century. "Monument with three crosses", which is preserved near the church even today, about 300 hundred years ago, was the prestol (altar) of the former wooden church. That church was sold to Şarbaca.

The musical instrument factory in Fetești was established on the basis of a partnership between the local authorities and the Romanian entrepreneur Vasile Gliga, who invested over 100 thousand euros in this workshop. Thirty years ago, Vasile Gliga and his wife set up a violin factory in Reghin, Romania.

During 2016-2017, through a project developed by AO Moștenitorii (Bălți) and supported by the CHOICE/EU program, the Duruitoarea Veche museum complex was created, which includes the museum, the "Grota" archaeological monument and the "Duriitorea Gorge" nature reserve

The wooden church in the shape of a ship in the village of Balatina, dedicated to "The Entrance of the Mother of God", was built in 1814-1815 at the initiative of the locals following the great floods that took place in the Prut valley in 1813, where at that time the first holy place of worship was located, which was washed away together with other houses of the first settlement of the village following the massive collapse of the river bank. 

The stone church, according to records, was started in 1909 and was founded by the landlady Rozalia (Rallu) Klokoceva, the widow of General Klokochov, from Moscow. The stone for the construction was transported by locals with ox-drawn carts from Pociumbeni, Riscani district. The exterior of the church was completed in 1918, when the founder of the church Mihail Bodarev had passed away.

The Church is a holy place of much Godly grace where Christians go to pray and give thanks to God. The church is dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. The place is located in the centre of the village and to this day Christians go there to pray. In the beginning there were two churches, one Christian Orthodox and one Catholic.

The church was built in 1838, being one of the oldest churches in the country, which has preserved its foundations and is surrounded by a stone wall. It was recently renovated on the outside.

The church of the village of Horodiște, an architectural jewel designed in the early 1900s with the support of the Bursky boyars, was built in 1912 by a mason from Odessa. It was the only church in the district that did not undergo any changes in its use, such as a warehouse or other functions that were foreign to the church.
